How to Swing in Golf When it Rains

How to swing in golf when it rains is not easy to do.

Well, here we are in the middle of a swirling low pressure system that is picking up moisture from the great lakes area and just dumping tons of rain on us.

In spite of all of that, I went to the golf course to see if anyone else would show up. The rain was light and I had played in rain much heavier than this but apparently the others had not. So after waiting around for ten minutes it was obvious no one was showing. So, I turned tail and went home.

I have been telling you about the issues I have with my new golf swing and the distance I have lost with all of my clubs. Well, I am now into a fellow by the name of Bobby Wilson, the long distance driving champ in two divisions. He has convinced me that I should invest in his program. Parts of it are inexpensive while the main part is very expensive.

I am not ready to pay huge sums of money after shelling out over three hundred dollars this past year on other golf swing teachers in my quest for the perfect golf swing.

But in the process of trying to convince me and others to buy, he sent a series of eight things that are not the right thing to do. One of these things he talked about was how hard to grip the golf club.

He gave two tips to help with the golf swing. He also maintains that you need a soft grip to swing faster. But on a scale of 1 to 10 what is one and what is ten. You know what ten is for you. You have squeezed someone or something as hard as you can and know exactly what ten is. But what is two or three in the scale of 1 to 10.

He talked about a lesson he got from Ben Hogan. Hogan told him to get a tube of tooth paste and squeeze the end until the tube was fairly taught with the cap on. Then take the cap off and try to swing using the tooth paste tube as the golf grip. Point the open end at your self and if you squeeze out any tooth paste at your self you have squeezed the tube too tight.

Now that you have the feeling of how tight is too tight and what is just right grab a club and squeeze the grip as tight as possible and then release it to the tooth paste grip. Repeat it again and then grip the club lightly. You now have the perfect grip.

There you have it. How tightly to grip a golf club during you golf swing. There are more lessons in the eight videos he has sent out but we will get to them during the cold or wet months ahead. There will be more golf tips ahead.

I am in the process of building a face book fan page to see how many of you like what I am doing on this blog. So stay tuned as it will be ready very soon.

In the meantime, my lawn is getting the much needed water it needed in August. So when it stops, I will mow it as it is getting very long with the cool weather and rain.

It appears the rain will stop on Friday so we may go out and play then. Anyway, I will let you know on Tuesday what is going on. Have a great weekend and learn how to swing in golf to use the perfect golf swing.
