Perfect Golf Swing – Do you think of yourself as a hack on the golf course? Are you embarrassed to tell your golf scores to anyone? Then you will want to read my blog. I am on a quest to get my golf scores to a better than hack average. Both leagues I golf on the average score for nine is 48. Is this you? My average was 49.
It has been said that the average for all golfers is 99.9 for 18 holes and there are 26 million golfers. So, don’t feel lonely. There are lots of us in that hackers range and many more even worse.
I am trying to get a grooved golf swing or even a perfect golf swing where I can score in the low 40′s or upper 30′s and be the best or second best golfer in the league. Would you like to do that also. Then follow me on my quest, see me work on it and learn from me. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
First I want to tell you that most of these events occurred previously and the tails about my current golfing scores have been occurring over the summer. I began this blog in October and it is now November as I post these but the current events happened June, July, August, September, October and November of 2010.
If you are just now starting to read my blog I would advise that you go to the beginning and read back up to these current posts so that you understand how life got in front of golf and what led to the loss of my golf swing and how I am getting it back.

The leagues are ending and my golf scores are better but not great.
We are quickly closing to an end.
My Monday league is having it’s last night this Monday coming up. I did not realize until after golf on Wednesday but that was our last night of the Wednesday league also. We are being giving a break from the golf course and they are suppose to let us play eighteen holes for a discounted price on Wednesday and on Monday we are suppose to get to play nine holes for $15 with cart. They are going to let us tee off about an hour earlier.
In the meantime, my wife and I played on Sunday. It was late in the day and it was a hot 92 degrees. We only played nine holes but we were soaking wet when we got through. I love the heat though and enjoyed playing in it. I play really well with my wife and hit every drive almost perfectly.
It is funny but with this new/old driver I will sometimes lose site of the ball and have no idea where it went. The arc of the ball is so high that I cannot get my eyes up that high fast enough. The hang time on the ball is about 6 to 7 seconds. So, when I look down range I don’t have the patience to wait that long and don’t see it land.
Well I am having that problem anyway. Most of the time I see the ball in the air but when it gets below the tree line, I lose track of it and I don’t see the ball bounce. Anyway, the ball is usually in the right rough or if the fairway is wide enough I will be along the right edge.
I put tape on my drivers face to see where I am hitting the ball. I did that for my wife with the clubs she uses. It is amazing what that will tell you. I hit the face of the club, in the nearly same spot pretty consistently. The tape has a circle in the center that is about one inch in diameter and I hit that circle line on every drive. Only one was in the direct center, a perfect golf swing hit.
My wife finally understood what it meant to be hitting on the toe and what it meant to be hitting on the heal and how they felt. Up until that she was trying to describe how she hit it and I was thinking she was doing something else. So now she knows where to hit it and what will be the result. But more importantly, she now knows what to call it.
Next post is Monday night. our last night of the league.
