Golf Swing, So what – Do you think of yourself as a hack on the golf course? Are you embarrassed to tell your golf scores to anyone? Then you will want to read my blog. I am on a quest to get my golf scores to a better than hack average. Both leagues I golf on the average score for nine is 48. Is this you? My average was 49.
It has been said that the average for all golfers is 99.9 for 18 holes and there are 26 million golfers. So, don’t feel lonely. There are lots of us in that hackers range and many more even worse.
I am trying to get a grooved golf swing where I can score in the low 40′s or upper 30′s and be the best or second best golfer in the league. Would you like to do that also. Then follow me on my quest, see me work on it and learn from me. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
First I want to tell you that most of these events occurred previously and the tails about my current golfing scores have been occurring over the summer. I began this blog in October and it is now November as I post these but the current events happened June, July, August, September, October and November of 2010.
If you are just now starting to read my blog I would advise that you go to the beginning and read back up to these current posts so that you understand how life got in front of golf and what led to the loss of my golf swing and how I am getting it back.

Monday night league. Not going to worry about the golf swing tonight. Must play for the golf score.
I came into this league as a complete stranger. Usually, when I go somewhere, anywhere, I will find someone I know. I didn’t think I knew anyone from this league but as it turned out I did know one person. Not well but we had worked together just briefly about 12 years ago.
The irony of this is, I am 8 shots ahead of him for third place. I am the third best player in this league.
It just so happens that the method that they are using is good enough for my game right now. This is the league that we play a two man scramble with different partners every week. My total is third lowest.
My partner for this week is going to be absent so he got another person to sub. This fellow has just started playing as a sub over the past two weeks. He is huge! He is 6’4″ and weighs in at over 300 pounds. He hits the heck out of the ball and will sometimes hit it 320 yards. He has an odd golf swing and he does not know whether his ball will go right or left or oddly enough sometimes it will even go straight.
But he is a pretty good player and I expect we will not shoot badly so I should finish in third. But I will not count my money yet. Yes, they are paying for first, second and third. How much? Who knows.
I am a little anxious and do not hit a decent shot on the first hole and we end up with a boogie five. The next hole is a par three and we hit the green and two putt for a three. I hit a good shot but it is slightly off to the right and lands off the green. But I am feeling better about my game.
Well, the next four holes go uneventful and we post pars on each and every one of them. We cannot putt. We have opportunities for birdies but we both miss. Two where less then six feet but we cannot make the putts. As a result, we are still one over after five holes.
I will continue this on the next post. I want to talk about his next two drives.
Next post the greatest drives I have ever seen.
