No Perfect Golf Swing – Do you think of yourself as a hack on the golf course? Are you embarrassed to tell your golf scores to anyone? Then you will want to read my blog. I am on a quest to get my golf scores to a better than hack average.
Both leagues I golf on the average score for nine is 48. Is this you? My average was 49.
It has been said that the average for all golfers is 99.9 for 18 holes and there are 26 million golfers. So, don’t feel lonely. There are lots of us in that hackers range and many more even worse.
I am trying to get a grooved golf swing where I can score in the low 40′s or upper 30′s and be the best or second best golfer in the league. Would you like to do that also. Then follow me on my quest, see me work on it and learn from me. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
First I want to tell you that most of these events occurred previously and the tails about my current golfing scores have been occurring over the summer. I began this blog in October and it is now November as I post these but the current events happened June, July, August, September, October and November of 2010.
If you are just now starting to read my blog I would advise that you go to the beginning and read back up to these current posts so that you understand how life got in front of golf and what led to the loss of my golf swing and how I am getting it back.

So we are just about through playing and I finally get up the nerve to ask him how he has learned to play golf. He stammers a little and I ask if he has ever had a lesson and he responds proudly NO. I ask him why. He states that he has not needed a golf lesson until now. He has been playing pretty good and thought he could get by with lessons from the web and books and videos purchased at the golf store.
He then asks if I have ever had lessons and I answer with a resounding YES. I did not have time to tell him how many but I did say that I have had more lesson over the years then he has had rounds of golf in this league this season. No Golf Lesson – No Perfect Golf Swing
So we finally get that second par and we end the round with that 43. I thought it was pretty good consider what I had to play with and with me still being inconsistent. My drives and my putts were the things that save us. His three drives cost us two strokes and my poor pitches to the green cost us two more and he really only made one putt and he had one pitch that we used but we three putted for a bogey five.
Anyway, I did tell him that golfers like him that don’t take lessons are not a match to golfers like me who have taken many lessons over the years. He began making excuses for not taking lessons but we had to get the bags put away and go into the club house with our scores.
I was feeling pretty comfy about my position in the league until I got the scores today and see that I have a guy closing in on me.
Next post is where I stand in the league.
